Cooking Courses
In the heart of the old town in beautiful Vejer de la Frontera, Annie B introduces you to the delights of fresh, healthy ingredients and the magic of Mediterranean cuisine.
Our cookery sessions are held in the morning after which we move smoothly into lunch, which usually consists of the culinary miracles we’ve conjured up during the morning, served round the pool. After lunch, if you can drag yourself away from lush flowers reflected in the still pool water, you can meander down to the beach for the afternoon to rest gently on the sands and listen to the waves, while any more energetic members of your party can explore some of Vejer’s unique and colourful shops scattered throughout the town.
Refreshed and re-energised, we reconvene in the evening for talks and tastings featuring wonderful local cheese, jamon, sherry, Spanish wines and grape varieties. Delicious dinner is then served or we may have made a booking at one of Vejer’s excellent restaurants where Annie and her guests are always welcomed with open arms.
You’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to comfortable accommodation. There are a variety of boutique hotels all within a few moments walk from the scene of your labours at the cooking school. We should mention though that if you have a friend or partner who fancies every bit of this holiday except the cookery sessions, please reassure them, they are every bit as welcome and will be well catered for on the food front (you can bet your life, they’ll want to join us for meals!). In addition there’s bird-watching, horse riding, kite-surfing, wind surfing, Spanish classes, golf, para-gliding, flamenco guitar classes or hill walking all on offer – or they could just opt for a book and the sun – we’re not judgmental here. Call and have a chat about all that’s on offer.
